Eric & Amber <\/a>planned a stunning wedding at The Metropolitan Club<\/a>, a historic venue<\/a> just off the Southeast corner of Central Park.\u00a0 I was particularly excited about this wedding not only because the venue itself is gorgeous and rich with atmosphere, but because Eric is a theatre director and clearly was bringing his sensibilities to the wedding planning process– everything from the everything from the groomsmen\u2019s tuxedos (and Morning suits for the ceremony!) to the invitation suite were meticulously designed with an eye for theatrical detail.\u00a0 I started the day with Amber and her bridesmaids getting ready upstairs in the Club and then we took a round of pictures with the wedding party down in the Billiards room while the couple shared a private moment for their first look.\u00a0 After some photos in the library and rooftop balcony we took a walk across the street to Central Park and then loaded into cars to head to St. Jean Baptiste<\/a> on the Upper East Side.\u00a0 What a gorgeous church this was–the ceremony was particularly moving as it was performed by Eric’s own father, who is a Deacon!\u00a0 Upon return to the Metropolitan Club guests were treated to a cocktail hour that concluded with a surprise dance performance before heading upstairs to the ballroom for dinner & dancing.\u00a0 Eric & Amber delighted onlookers with their incredible first dance choreography, and later on we were treated to a surprise performance by another dance troupe!\u00a0 The next morning their nuptials were announced in The New York Times Vows<\/a> section, too.\u00a0 I could not be more thrilled for this wonderful couple– congratulations, Eric & Amber!<\/p>\n
