{"id":20034,"date":"2015-07-10T23:57:46","date_gmt":"2015-07-11T04:57:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sarahtewphotography.com\/blog\/?p=20034"},"modified":"2015-07-10T23:58:45","modified_gmt":"2015-07-11T04:58:45","slug":"wedding-village-club-lake-success","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sarahtewphotography.com\/blog\/wedding-village-club-lake-success\/","title":{"rendered":"Jamie &amp; Max&#8217;s Wedding at The Village Club at Lake Success"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jamie &amp; Max planned a big, beautiful wedding at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.villageclubatlakesuccess.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Village Club at Lake Success<\/a> with the help and expertise of Jamie\u2019s mother Cindy, who is a brilliant calligraphy artist specializing in wedding invitations and other paper pieces to fill out your wedding decor. \u00a0As the day approached it seemed likely to rain, and we got to the venue in plenty of time to scout and get plans and back up plans for the portraits no matter what happened with the weather. \u00a0I then drove over to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.innatgreatneck.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Inn at Great Neck<\/a> where Jamie and her bridesmaids were hanging out and getting ready. \u00a0To my delight they were all in the most adorable matching pajama sets\u2014 their bridesmaid gifts of course! \u00a0So cute! \u00a0I just had to get a shot of Jamie &amp; her sister (aka Maid of Honor) jumping on the bed in these cute pajamas\u2026 finally ready for first look, alas, it was raining\u2014 but the venue allowed us to shoot this special moment in the pretty natural light of the entryway to the club, protected by an overhang. \u00a0We shot the rest of the portraits and groups indoors, and then went upstairs for a Ketubah signing, to be followed by the ceremony downstairs. \u00a0Guests were treated to a fantastic cocktail hour while the catering team transformed the ceremony space into a reception room. \u00a0Jamie &amp; Max came in to check it out and practice their first dance before they brought the guests in for a glorious evening of celebration. \u00a0I kept my eye on the weather outside hoping there might be a break in the weather, and although that didn\u2019t happen Jamie &amp; Max were willing to come outside under my umbrella for a quick rainy night-shot on the deck and I love the results!
