{"id":21765,"date":"2016-04-21T08:18:42","date_gmt":"2016-04-21T13:18:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sarahtewphotography.com\/blog\/?p=21765"},"modified":"2016-04-29T19:31:45","modified_gmt":"2016-04-30T00:31:45","slug":"wedding-paper-factory-hotel-nyc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sarahtewphotography.com\/blog\/wedding-paper-factory-hotel-nyc\/","title":{"rendered":"Sally &#038; Neil&#8217;s Wedding at The Paper Factory Hotel"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"fb-follow\">\n<div>Sally and Neil were married on a Saturday at The Paper Factory Hotel, a hip boutique hotel that used to be an actual paper factory.\u00a0 Neil is an art director and novelist and Sally is an editor, so the fact that the venue has used books as a primary component of the decor was perfect for them!\u00a0 As the day began it was clear that there would be rain, but of course I knew the hotel lobby and the reception space below their restaurant, Mundo, would provide a variety of cool looking options for my portraits of the couple, the wedding party, and family groups.\u00a0 I went upstairs to shoot Sally&#8217;s preparation and she was freshly back from having her hair done at a nearby salon.\u00a0 For the first look we brought the couple to a pretty sunlit room near the lobby that housed a fooseball table, and then I got to have fun shooting them in the cool spaces of the hotel&#8211; there was even a gorgeous red phonebooth, check it out!\u00a0 And how could I resist using this amazing column of books in the stairwell of Mundo?\u00a0 The ceremony that followed was a sweet Jewish ceremony, and the couple signed their Ketubah under the Chuppah with all the guests witnessing.\u00a0 Afterwards I took a few minutes to shoot them signing their marriage certificate and got the opportunity to make a few portraits of them with the beautiful night sky and manhattan in the background&#8211;you wouldn&#8217;t know it but the just married portraits were shot inside their hotel room.\u00a0 My favorite moment from this intimate celebration with close family and friends was the impromptu Hora dance complete with the couple being lifted on chairs.\u00a0 Congratulations to Sally &amp; Neil!<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><img id=\"pp-lightbox-1461205811\" class=\"pp-lightbox-placeholder pp-gallery-placeholder lightbox-1461205811 mceItem\" style=\"display: none;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sarahtewphotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/p4\/placeholders\/lightbox-placeholder-1461205811.jpg\" \/><\/div>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/163686887?color=ffffff&amp;title=0&amp;byline=0&amp;portrait=0\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<div><strong>Vendor Details<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>Venue: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.paperfactoryhotel.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Paper Factory Hotel\u00a0<\/a><\/div>\n<div>\n<div>Event Design &amp; Day-of Coordination:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.beautyandthedetails.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Beauty and the Details<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>Wedding gown: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jcrew.com\/wedding\/Wedding_Bride.jsp\" target=\"_blank\">J.
