{"id":26054,"date":"2017-12-18T22:16:44","date_gmt":"2017-12-19T03:16:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sarahtewphotography.com\/blog\/?p=26054"},"modified":"2017-12-19T12:44:42","modified_gmt":"2017-12-19T17:44:42","slug":"snowy-winter-wedding-knockdown-center","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sarahtewphotography.com\/blog\/snowy-winter-wedding-knockdown-center\/","title":{"rendered":"Lauren &amp; Josh&#8217;s epic winter wedding at The Knockdown Center, NYC"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"fb-follow\">\n<div>Josh &amp; Lauren were married on a beautiful snowy Saturday in December.\u00a0 We began the day at The Williamsburg Hotel, in Brooklyn.\u00a0 Lauren&#8217;s room had amazing floor to ceiling windows letting in lovely natural light, which worked so well with her details and dress!\u00a0 I had scoped out the lobby and to our delight the ground level of the hotel was full of nifty spots to take pictures of the couple after their first look.\u00a0 Josh waited to see Lauren so she could do up his bowtie and that made for a sweet moment, too!\u00a0 I was able to take them outside under our big clear umbrella for a few magical shots with the snowflakes wafting around&#8211; it was the first snow of this winter here in NYC so naturally I wanted to capture that for them!\u00a0 We did some group shots with the bridesmaids and groomsmen and family groups that were there at the hotel, and then headed over to The Knockdown Center in Queens.\u00a0 I was tickled to see this popular concert venue decked out for a marvelous wedding.\u00a0 The decor was so elegant and yet simple, with greenery and white flowers and soft twinkly lights. While guests began to arrive, Josh and Lauren were joined by their family for Tisch and document signings before the formal ceremony in front of guests.\u00a0 After they tied the knot they spent the traditional 7-9 minutes alone while guests got started at the cocktail reception, and we then took some final family group shots in front of the Chuppah before we moved into the main space for dinner and dancing.\u00a0 Highlights of the evening included a very lively first dance and Hora, complete with silly dances presented to the bride and groom, known as Shtick, a beautiful set of toasts from siblings and friends, and Josh&#8217;s hilarious cake-cutting antics.\u00a0 I was honored to capture this lovely wedding&#8211;
