At a certain point they were both hoisted on top of tables (after a round of chairlifting also) and they threw the handkerchief back and forth over the curtain that split the dance floor. It was so fun to shoot this part of the reception, I just loved every minute of it… I love so many of the shots I got on the women’s side– Michele was so full of joy, her face was amazing during this dance. Meanwhile the men’s side was as frenetic as a mosh pit at one point, there was such physical group dancing going on, it was awesome to behold. I could go on for a while about what a unique space Edison Ballroom was, but I will let the photos speak for themselves. After they got dressed Jeff and I escorted Steven and Michele to Times Square separately to set up their first look, and then we did a quick handful of couple portraits before heading back to the Ballroom (just as it started to rain!) for family and wedding party portraits, the Ketubah signing and ceremony, etc. Thanks to Jeff & Nick for the excellent 2nd shooting and assistance.Another highlight involved the cake cutting– these two have a really fun relationship and it showed in their attempts to get cake all over one another. Michele was radiating such a pure happy glow all day, you couldn’t help but smile just looking at her. I was honored to be a part of this lovely celebration.
