Rachel & Robert’s Engagement Portraits in the East Village

Rachel & Robert are to be married in September of 2017 at Stone Tavern Farm, in Roxbury, New York. They love music festivals and plan to have a very colorful and fun celebration at their wedding, so we took the engagement session as an opportunity not only to capture them in New York, but to find some colorful backdrops that would play well with the spirit of their wedding! Shooting in the East Village, around Robert’s old apartment and the surrounding neighborhood we had no trouble finding street art with color and texture, and we even stopped in at their favorite restaurant, Frank, and a farmers’ market over at the corner of Tompkins’ Square Park. I couldn’t get enough of Rachel’s joyful smile– Robert knows just how to make her laugh too. Congratulations to Rachel and Robert– I am so excited to shoot your wedding!
