Debbie & Troy’s intimate destination ceremony: Ladies’ Pavilion in Central Park

Debbie contact me many months ago– she and Troy were planning their wedding as part of an exciting trip to the United States, a whirlwind tour taking them to various points on the east coast (including Savannah, GA, where I grew up!) after a leisurely week in New York, finally stopping in Las Vegas for a few final days of vacation before heading back to their home in Australia. This couple is passionate about travel– Troy is in the Navy and has been all over the world, and Debbie was enthused about having their marriage take place during their travel as a couple. I met them down at the unique studio apartment rental they found on wall street– such a cool building!  After Debbie’s makeup artist was finished (and Troy had completed binding her bouquet– such a sweet husband!) we shot some portraits of the couple there in the lounge and lobby and then stepped out into the rain to get a cab up to the park.  I was so honored to capture this special day– this couple was so sweet– rain? no big deal, it’s romantic! They were totally up for venturing out into Central Park (Ladies’ Pavilion is covered, after all) and snapped up a couple of umbrellas for the task. Congratulations, Debbie & Troy, I hope you enjoy all the twists and turns of this beautiful journey you’re on!
