Laura & Axuve were guests at Amy & Andrew’s sweet wedding a few years ago and remembered loving a photo I took of them during the reception… cut to a few years later and they’re engaged! I was so honored by this booking– they were so sure they wanted me that they asked me for availability before even booking their date at the venue, which really blew me away! I knew they’d be super fun to shoot with and our session proved it so– since they are proud parents of some happy growing kitty-cats and didnt’ have any family pictures of the 4 of them together we started the session at their apartment in Park Slope… it was so funny trying to get these little balls of energy calm enough to sit still for a portrait and they were super curious about my camera–we ended up getting some great action shots of them playing too. After changing into their walk-around outfits we stepped outside and made our way to Prospect Park for some shots there, stopping along the way as we walked down pretty treelined streets full of brownstones. To finish the session they wanted to get the Brooklyn Bridge in a few shots so we hopped in a car to Dumbo and made it just as the sun was going down and the lights were coming on in manhattan– even though it wasn’t one of those gorgeous sunsets we always hope for as photographers I love the results with the pretty twinkling lights on the bridge…check out my favorites from the session! I can’t wait for their wedding at The Hammond Museum in June!
