Jennifer & Daniel’s Wedding at Glen Island Harbour Club

Jennifer & Daniel were married on a chilly November afternoon at Glen Island Harbour Club, a short drive out of NYC.  I arrived early to scout the area for portrait locations and was excited to see a fascinating old ‘abandoned castle’ of sorts at the park near the venue.  I knew we’d all be cold out there but figured it would be worth it to get a handful of portraits outdoors with the beautiful leaves, the stone structures, and of course later we went outside to shoot some ‘just married’ portraits with the water views right outside the Club itself.  During the getting ready I shot one of my all-time favorite bride-preparing pictures in a quiet moment in the big beautiful mirror in the room there.  Highlights of this lovely day included the sweet natural-lit ceremony up on the 2nd floor, a touching set of toasts, and a moving trumpet serenade by the bride’s step-father at one point during the reception.  Jenn surprised her new husband with a  groom’s cake shaped like a guitar featuring the members of KISS, and naturally their band was prepared to “rock’n’roll all night!” Congratulations to Jenn & Dan!
