Sarah & Matthew’s Wedding at NYIT DeSeversky Mansion

Sarah & Matthew were wed in a Catholic Church and celebrated with a reception at NYIT’s de Seversky Mansion on Long Island in May. I was so pleased to be there to capture this event– I arrived to find Sarah and her bridesmaids enjoying themselves getting ready there in the mansion’s bridal suite, and their spirits were not dampened by the light rain whatsoever! We did a first look and some pictures with the wedding party indoors there in the library and made our way to St. Dominic’s in Oyster bay for a lovely Catholic ceremony. The rain lifted long enough that we were able to capture them exiting the church and some pictures of the wedding party out on the steps after their receiving line. The couple hopped into a vintage white rolls royce for a private drive back to de Seversky Mansion and we were able to get some nice portraits of the couple outside during this rain-free window before they made their entrance into cocktail hour to socialize with guests. We took their group shots with extended family in a nice light of the airy sunroom just off the cocktail hour area that worked out perfectly, and then it was on to the reception! Highlights of the evening included some very moving and sweet toasts from Sarah’s Maid of Honor, her father, and Matthew’s brother, and after their cake cutting I was excited to take them outside for a night portrait to cap off the evening. Congratulations to Sarah & Matthew!
