Anna & Aaron’s Hometown Engagement Portraits in Short Hills, NJ

I’m so excited to be shooting Anna & Aaron’s wedding this fall at the Ritz Carlton at Battery Park. When we talked about engagement portrait locations there were two things that came to their minds– first was a beach day shoot (they spend time at the Jersey Shore every summer) and the 2nd was a shoot in and around their home town and high school, since that’s where they met. Since Short Hills, New Jersey is just a hop skip and a jump away via train I said sure thing, and boy am I glad I did. Believe me, I *never* get sick of shooting in NYC– this place is unbelievably rich for portrait locations– but I must admit it was refreshing to do a session in a smaller town I’d never explored before. Millburn, where they went to high school (and no, they were not dating at the time, though they both ran cross country on the school team)– Millburn was cute as can be. We shot in a pretty local park as well as hitting both their parents’ homes and backyards, and of course we had to go shoot some at their Alma Mater! Here are a few favorites from my shoot with Anna and Aaron– I can’t wait for their wedding, it’s sure to be gorgeous.
